Do I need to be online to verify a game every time I play it, got a long weekend coming up and wondering if the games will work when I don't have an internet connection.

Nope, you can start steam in offline mode, although it is a lot quicker if you unplug your internet first as it still keeps trying anyway if it detects one.

Strangly spore for me only works when I'm disconnected form the internet... <Insert copy protection quip here>

2 hours playing Torchlight this morning waiting for Red Dead to arrive, what alot of fun Will need to find a 3rd party gamma thing though because it's just a little too dark
