In his last season LFC had more shots on goal than any other Prem team; Owen had by far the most chances and squandered them. The year before that was similar and Owen scored ony 11 goals in the whole season, 4 of them in one game against a very poor side.

Owen in talks with LFC. If he comes back he is one of our greatest ever strikers and statistics are all lies, if he joins someone else he was always crap etc etc etc

Davids got a very enthusiastic welcome at WHL today & played some cracking football. And Defoe got a brace

I'm off to the bookies to put money on Pompey beating us 5-0 next week, as our pre-season has clearly been much too promising.

On the downside, seems I missed a superb day of test cricket
