The Tepid Spiderman.

Very underwhelming. Spent way to long on the origin story (which was done better 10 years ago) and the Lizard was a awful villlian. Andrew Garfield would be a decent Peter Parker, but for some reason they have decided to make Peter more of 'outcast' dick character than a likeable nerd. Emma Stones Gwen is far and away the best thing in the movie.

Not worth seeing at the cinema in my opinion.

Prefered it to the last series. This peter was less of a love sick wimp and it didnt turn the film into a love story. Still not as good as I hoped (nowhere near Avengers quality) but much better than the last trilogy

Does Spidey do any actual wisecracking? My memories of the comics were of Spidey taunting the bad guy when he was getting a kicking and making them mad enough to make mistakes. There was none of that in the original trilogy really, and although i enjoyed them it was as glaring a hole as Angel not being in the Xmen, Bobby being a kid, and Daredevil being Ben Affleck.
