Bernard Hill looks to have been perfectly cast as Theoden.

Christmas comes early though this year, August 6th for Fellowship DVD.

That sent shivers up my spine allright :)

Not sure it was a good idea to show the return of "Gandalf the White".
Surely a bit of a spoiler for those strange people who have never actually read the book yet (YES there are people like that out there :p )

p.s I didn't realize until I had posted this that Readon had already started a TTT trailer thread !! sorry m8 :)

And it turns out that Isildur wasn't killed either, he was captured and is being held in Barad'ur. It is the fourth quest our hero's get, to rescue him, just after they find a potion of everlasting life to give to Arwen so she hasn't really given up on her immortality after all, it is found in the "paths of the dead" through a secret door guarded by a zombie!

7 months since i got it and still noly read a 1/5 of the bloody thing (the first book not all 3 put togetehr)

It WAS Gandalf the Grey..but becomes Gandalf the White

And Saruman starts as Saruman the White...then becomes "Saruman of many colours"

Radagast appears only briefly near the beginning as Radagast the Brown, but later on his name is expanded to "Radagast the Brown Trousered".

the potion for Arwen is actuly guarded by the undead king thendril (yup thats were i got my name from)
hes the one who leads the army out of the undead passage after the dealings with aragorn for safe passage.
That section is in the Christopher Tolkien book Unfinished Tails of Numenor and Middle Earth.

Films these days have so much product placement in it. Did anyone else see Gandalf the White's hidden box of Daz?

Does anyone know if The Hobbit will be a film once they've done the LOTR trilogy? Prequels are all the rage after all...

Oh Oh ive got the news... Yes the hobbit will be made after the trilogy as games workshop blokey said "were bringing out minatures for it after the film"

*gazes into the middle distance* I remember buying my first hobbit figure. From Minifigs it was or was it Ral Patha. Not like hobbits theesh dayssh, oh no. Figures these days dont know they're born.

..cause all this were fields then. Well maybe not, but Games Workshop was a shop then, not a bleedin' conglomerate :). But I digress.

Smaug should be good eh?
