Turn 26 - The red/purple gem

[Zed]

Belwar moves towards the area where the gem sits. Bamoin Moves up along side the Gnome, and he, Bamoin, Dee and Larson enter the chamber.

A pedestal made of stone and carved with a variety of tiny symbols rises 4 feet from the center of the floor. Atop it sits a purple-red crystal,
glistening ever so slightly with its own light.

Belwar closes and begins to examine the pedastal. The symbols do not appear to him to be anything he recognises so he gestures for Atak and Caligula to approach. Atak quickly shakes his head in the negative, they do not appear to him to be Arcane. Caligula is intent on the symbols and fails to notive the glow get stronger. Then suddenly with a red burst the gem flashes brightly and as the flash fades another red/purple wraith materialises in the room....

Actions?

"Eh?!?"

Belwar takes a swipe at the gem, trying to either damage it and knock it off the pedestal into the direction of the wraith...

you would note a sudden red flash or burst of light and a sound of wind rushing through the room. (yes, yes, jokes incoming ;0) )

Dee hurls his staff towards the mist, and closes distance to get within 5 foot (or so) of the mist trying to keep his side or back to a wall.

 

[Zed]

Your detect magic would show the whole of the pedastal and Gem to be magic. The pedastal exhibits good magics the Gem evil magics. Oddly there seems to be a faint aura from the entire floor of the room as well.

 

[Cullhaven]

Siggi will run in ready to chop if she has the opprtunity, but she is not going to wildly flail about with her axe.

 

[Entropy]

Arak will cast magic missle at the gem. [ooc let's hope it doesn't absorb it or something ]

 

[Vilic]

Larson jumps to battle. Spining and twirling making sure not to spill any ale tho.

"Dragon sweeps the field of pions" (Larson spins lashing out with his foot)
"Preying mantis stikes it prey" (As he finishes the spin he lashes out with his elbow.

 

[Cullhaven]

Getting in to the spirit of this Siggi yells:
" RRAARRGGHH! Big metal axe chops bollox of monster!"

 

[Raving]

Knok realising that this will be dead before he can react looks at the runes from a distance to see if he knows what they are

 

[Zeus]

Jial quickly looses a pair of arrows at the jem. "Get back! it may explode when shattered!"

 

[Kegs]

Thak will join the fray with Siggi, and keep an eye out for other foes.

 

[Zed]
