Turn 27 - Deja vue or Wraith Mk2

Ill be pausing mid turn .. you'll see why as some of you will probably decide to do something different ;-) (Evil GM laugh here)]

Siggni, beating everyone off the mark charges forwards and swings a mighty blow with her axe cleaving the wraith [11 Dam]

Knok, scurries around the fighting and approaches the Pedastal. He begins to examine the runes but like the others he can only make them out to be associated with Good.

Dee hurls his staff at the wraith. It looked like it would hit but at the last moment the wraith seemed to fade out leaving the staff to clatter against the back wall of the chamber.

Atak begins chanting. 3 missles hurl forwards slamming into the Gem [Ooc Oh dear. Oh dear indeedf!!] The gem flares as the missiles strike [9 Dam]

Without warning the room flares a white/blue colour as a grid suddenly appears across the entire floor sending electricity arcing through everyone stood there

Siggni, Dee, Larson, Knok, Belwar Jial, Thak all take 18 Damage from the electricity blast.... Status page updated to reflect this ........

[OOC: Okay im pausing here ;0) .. do those who were going to attack the Gem wish to continue to do so. There was NO chance of avoiding the burst of electricity]

[OOC 2 - We are at Initiative Order: Jial. Previous actions stand]

If it is possible to attack the mist and be clear of the floor Dee will, otherwise he'll grit his teeth and continues standing where the floor had flareed. If he see's anyone make movements towards the Gem he'll will auggest otherwise loudly in Gnomish.

(OOC - Can you add Dee's fears/skills to the list Zed, don't think I can do anythin amazing but best check ;))

Belwar moves out of the room, and assuming he can still do smth he'll ready an action to cast Flaming Sphere (whilst he's outside of the room, and assuming that the grid appeared ONLY in the room) on the gem as soon as he's shaken off the damage dealt. (Don't wanna do an concentration check on, er, 28? So I'll be acting right after Atak, right?)

(ooc: Powerplaying? Me? No, no, why'd you think so? :D Oh and do check out Flaming Sphere, the things got duration, at least in D&D 3rd Ed. rules :p. Though the gem probably resists fire...)

[ooc just discovered I've got this spell] Since I've nuked the party, I guess a few people might want to retreat to safety, so on next action, I'm going to cast disrupt undead on the wraith (seems like a safer idea, though I don't actually know what the spell does! :p )

Yes, It spread out from the pedastal and covered the entire area you are in (30ft X 20ft section of the chamber)

To totally avoid the area of effect you have to move back into the middle third of the chamber (see map) and fire / fight from there...

With the Benedictine monks.
Thak will contuine to attack the wraith, if he's successful will retreat to the other room so the gem can be attacked at distance, if it is going to be attacked at all. :)

But first he growls at the Cleric to get back because hes going to be needed.

[OOC: After this we really need to think about finding a nice quiet place that we have already cleared with one entrance so we can get rested/healed/recommit spells.]

(ooc: So, as far as I can tell from the map you've drawn, we can't actually see the gem without being within the area of electricity? Anyway, if so, I'll move (not run) as far as I can, cast Flaming Sphere *beside* the pedestal, and on the next turn move farther away so that I'm definitely outside the area of effect for the gem's defenses, and use my standard action to direct the damned flaming sphere on the gem... Dunno for sure, but I dont' think I have to have sight of the flaming sphere to actually direct it, neither am I sure whether it'll be inside my range anymore, but close... 25+5/2lvs, er, 40 ft? Sure it'd be inside... :D And er, Atak did not get hurt by the electricity grid? That's odd...)
