Turn 3 - Reprecussions...

[Zed]

As the body hits the table the man turns...

[Luck checks]

Richard, Jonathan, Luther, Jacques spots the mans face, taking in the detail as he turns and sweeps your table with his revolver before heading towards the door that Turner came from...

As he does so Frank catches a glimpse of the mans face too.

Around you the band continues to play, oblivious for the few seconds that passed from the gun shot, then slowly the event ripples through the crowd as people realise what has happened, screams, shouts and people pushing as they get up almost, but not quite obscures what happens next...

Alex watches as the rude mans hands suddenly claw at the table spreading outwards, then Manusco pulls himself to a sitting position. Blood courses from the large exit hole in his forehead but he continues to stand, people close by stop at the sight, then scream loudly (a couple feint) people add more to the rush and clamour to leave the scene and even the band stops playing as they spot the bloody man climb to his feet... in a split second of silence Manusco moans something..

[Listen Checks]
Richard, Jonathan both make out the word "joey" in the moan .. then Manusco turns and heads towards the main entrance amid the rush and panic of the crowds from the mayor to the bellboys all trying to escape the scene.

Suddenly a voice from behind Jonathan cries out (from the stage) "hey youre hit,youre hit, my God, my God, youre Hit! Are you alright?" on the stage stands the band leader - Mitch Wester pointing at Jonathan and the blood and gore covering him

Actions?

As Manusco rises and Luther sees the blood, the hole and horror he ignores the training hes received, the shooter and the crowds and joins in the rush for the exit trying to put as much disance between himself and the bloody man as possible (this will last approx 1 1/2 minutes)

Frank your best place near the side door for the shooter...

 

[Sorontar]

As the place starts to go crazy, Frank tries to skirt the edges of the mayhem sticking to the wall.

As he moves he draws his badge and his revolver, the revolver he holds low and close to his side, his badge he brandishes before him at anyone who blocks him in his pursuit of the shooter screaming "Boston PD, MOVE NOW!"

He busts a gut to try and get to the door before the shooter does.

 

[Gottaa]

Having seen everything unfold from under the table Richard can see the blood dripping on the floor infront of him and Jonathan's knees appear to be giving way. Pushing himself up he heads towards the person who'd been shot and for a brief second stops and then continues to Jonathan pulling a hankey from his pocket and spilling one of his Mahjong pieces in the process which clatters on the floor landing face up.

Richard will try and help the injured man as much as he can keeping an ear out though for the police and eyeing a clear route to the door by the stage.

 

[Zed]

AS you wipe away the blood you realise he is actually unhurt...

 

[Gottaa]

Richard holds Jonathan by the shoulders and shakes him

"Your alright, you weren't hit"

Dropping his blood stained hankey on the floor he turns to one side and notices a glint on the floor, moving over he gently picks up the mahjong piece that had fallen from his pocket and sits down, slumping on the floor.

"What the hell just happened ?"

A question he didn't know who to ask, but getting the words out would be a start.

 

[Zeus]

pushing the sight of Manusco standing up from his mind, Alex runs after the shooter, and tries to throw himself onto the shooter's back and bear him to the floor before he can escape.

 

[Zed]

Alex is caught up by a couple of fleeing crowd members. He pulls up as they push past him heading to the main doors, the shooter ducks into the side door and out of view. Behind him he hears a cry of "Boston PD - Get down" and then as he reachs the doorway another man, pistol and badge to hand joins him. Both nod at each other and head out to the back stairs but you are now perhaps 30seconds to a minute behind. As you hit the street, coming into a small side street off from the main road that the club sits on, you are both forced toduck back inside as the retort of a tommy gun cracks through the night and bullets riccochet from the door and wall aroud him as a car speeds off out of the street and onto the main road. Elsewhere the sound of police sirens seem to be getting closer.

Meanwhile back inside, as Wester realises that Jonathan isnt hurt he grabs his instrument and heads out the stage door following the rest of the band. AS he does so Jonathan notices a small scrap of paper or something flutter to the ground near the door. He pulls himself up and dashes across the stage to pick it up..

Manusco has exited the main bar area, screams from the stairway tell you he has at least got that far, and also tells you hes trying to leave the building...

 

[Sorontar]

Turning to the stranger Frank puts a hand on his shoulder

"Please sir go back inside and leave through the front door, I'm paid to put my life at risk you're not"

With that he rolls out into the darkness, hoping that the tommy gun carrying goon left in the car,and sprints towards the mouth of the alley. Perhaps the car had been held up somehow and he could get a eye on the car.

 

[Zeus]

"And if someone gets shot you'll be glad i'm with you." Alex replies, running alongside Frank "You'll find i'm no stranger to this sort of thing."
As they reach the end of the alley, he draws the pistol and glances round the corner, ready to pull back if a hail of gunfire comes their way.

 

[Cadfiel]

Jacques looks down at the blood splattered man on the floor being tended by Richard, seeing the man is ok, Jacques looks for the the fleeing form of the rude man. There is no way he should be moving.

Looking briefly at the two men on the floor,

"Come on", cries Jacques, "he needs our help!".

Jacques turns and runs after the rude man not waiting for either Richard to finish tending the man or for acknowledgement, quickly covering the now rapidly emptying club floor jacques pushes and slips nimbly through the crowd to get to him out as quickly as possible. Trying to keep sight of the man, jacques moves rapidly out of the bar and to the stairs following the screams and panic, intent on reaching the wounded Manusco as soon as possible.

 

[Zed]

Jacques is in time to see the Rude man pull himself from under the feet of the fleeing crowd, who in their attempts to flee the scene had knocked him to the ground and crushed him underfoot, and exit to the street.

Outside he hears police sirens as they begin to converge on the emptying club.

As Jacques exits the club and pauses for a few moments to spot the bloody figure, Alex and Frank both round the side street and come out into the main street. You are all in time to watch as a police car, obviously startled by the lurching form of a man, skids, slams into Manusco and pins him to a railing..

 

[Cadfiel]

Barely pausing a second, Jacques rushes forward to Manusco and tries to help the wounded man.

 

[Zeus]

bracing himself for what he's about to see, Alex reholsters his .38 and runs over to Manusco to see if theres anything he can do to help.

 

[Zed]

Alex arrives almost the same instance as Jacques. To Alex its immediately evident that the gun shot wound to the head should have been fatal. A huge crater exists where the mans brain should have been.

In anycase, if the gun shot wound was somehow survived the crash had crushed the body from the chest downwards and would definately have proven fatal.

 

[Sorontar]

Running up towards the crash site Frank tries to get between the crowd and the body flashing his badge.

Frank looks over to the car to check on the state of the officer(s) in the car and checks under the car to see if there is any gasoline leaking from the tank.

If the car is safe and the officer(s) is looking okay he shouts:

"Ok people move along now, there's nothing to see here. Those of you who were in the club if you would kindly wait over to the right of the door we'll get around to questioning you as soon as we can"

If the car tank is compromised he screams:

"Everyone away from the car now there's a gasoline leak" and tries to get the officer(s) out of the car quickly.

 

[Zeus]

His training taking over, Alex will abandon the cause of helping the battered corpse, and move on to checking on the officers in the car instead.
-depending on what Frank says, Alex will respond differently.
If its just the general 'everyone back off', Alex will say "I'm a doctor, i can help them" and ignore Franks attempts to make him disperse.
If Frank states that the gas tank is leaking, Alex will instead help him get the officers out of the car and away from it.

 

[Brutus]

[O.O.C. Tell me when Luther has regained his sanity please Z.....]

 

[Cuthrose]

jothan, simples stares into space and his brain trys to process the shock that has just occured, repeatly saying the name joey.

 

[Zed]

[Id forgot about that. you were incapacitated for a couple of minutes. ID say youve about come round now the scene of devastation has left the building...]

Luther blinks, suddenly realising he is out on the street amid a rapidly dimishing crowd of people. Nearby police sirens wail and across the street he can make out one of the gentlemen who were sat at his table helping an officer out of a police car which in turn has slammed into a railing. IT seems to be pinning another figure to the wall...

 

[Gottaa]

Richard hears the wail of the sirens and decides it's time to not be there, and certainly not near a bloody hanky. He makes towards the door and notices something which he'd seen fall from the rude gentleman, scooping it up he then exits the building looking around trying to take in his surroundings and what he should be doing next.
