Thak continues to chop away at his foe, His first blow strikes the creature firmly. (14 Dam), the second blow follows the first cutting swathes of insects from the swarm. (10 Dam)The swarm gives in to the relentless blows and disintigrates into dead insects. Thak takes a 5ft step towards the remaining creature.
Aceed slips round towards the back, taking advantage of Thaks position to flank the creature. He swings his blade (no point in using flat part of blade, your hurting it just not as much as youd expect) His sword slides into the creature (4 Dam)
Arak pauses, watching the fight intently. But for the moment he chooses to do nothing (Hold action - if the creature hits his brother respond with magic)
Bamoin awakens and moves quickly to attack. Unable to get a good sneak position he moves into the attack his ghostly rapier flickering into corporeality as it hits. (4 Dam)
Jial peppers the creature with arrows, both slam into the beast (7 Dam total).
Jials arrows are followed as quickly by Knok, His arrow slams into the beast (6 Dam) with devastating effect. AS the arrow penetrates the creature explodes into individual insects covering all those close by in the remains of the beast.
Things go quiet again. Risach retrieves the lantern and you search the area but find nothing of interest. Aceed scurries over to the Vat and nimbly avoids a loose rung to peer inside. Again it is devoid of anything. Just a huge empy steel vat.

With nothing else to check you head back up the stairway and down through area 14. You come to a T section which reveals a series of doors. Many are closed, though on checking not locked. Each holds nothing. Two doors however stand open, both hold similar blue tracery and runes as the door you were unable to open in the generator room. The first reveals A long metal box, not unlike a lidless coffin, which sits propped upon a stand at a 45 degree angle. An inset amethyst marks each of its four corners. The inside of box has six pairs of leather straps arranged in a fashion that suggests that something�or more likely someone�was confined within. However that room is empy. Examining things carefully you get the impression this might have been where the black elf was confined.
The second is cold, Within, it is extremely cold�almost freezing.Water covers the floor in the room and the hall near the door. Again there appears to be nothing inside the room.
[OOC A congrats here. You have pretty much found everything in this part of the dungeon. A reminder:
1. you had to find Kalerecant. Youve done that.
2. you had to find where the Black/dark elf came from. Youve done that. It would appear that probably the room with the coffin was his tomb or chamber. How he escaped. Well someone obviously opened the door. You can surmise it was the Quaan.
With only 1 door left to really check apart from the door in the generator room you have a couple of choices.
1. return to the city with Kalerecant and report to his church and to Jevvica
2. open the remaining door.
