#1 Jial, Slow to catch up with the group heads down the road following the noises, sounds and generally goes against the flow of people in order to get to his companions. AS he does so he grabs his longbow and an arrow in preparation for trouble.:
[OOC Generally if you dont post esp during combat you will not be eligable to attack that round nor will you be attacked]
#2 Knok looked around at the problems his companions where having and then, his hand moving so fast it seemed like a blur launched two arrows at the robed figure.
[OOC Roll for attack (X2 arrows) 11/17 Match vs enemy AC equal to or higher than the Armour Class = hit]
Both arrows flew fast and accurate. However the robed figure seemed to glide through the street. The arrows which would have struck a slower target seemed to miss, one by feet the other by mere inches. The figure stopped, turned and locked on the Elf.
#3 Bamoin was lucky. As was his want, he skirted thegroup wide, keeping a good thirty feet away at most times, especially when trouble was brewing. All his clasps remained shut. Grabbing his sword he rushed forwards closing the gap between himself and the robed figure in seconds. He feinted and then tried to trip the figure relying on his fast reflexes.
[OOC Heres where the DM gets nasty. In combat some actions provoke attacks of opportunity. Essentialy this means that you let your guard down as you perform the action allowing for the enemy to strike a lucky blow. TRip is one such attack]
The robed figure was quicker. His hand struck out with the force of a small club, hitting Bamoin firmly in the chest. [Bamoin takes 8 damage] Reeling a little his trip attempt continued, but the blow from the robed figure had him off balance, the attack failed.
#4 Siggni moved away from her friends. She steps 15 feet but nothing happens. Seemingly ok she turns and begins to head for the robed figure. [At end of turn she is 20ft away]
#5 BElwar leapt forwards at the man with the dangerous eyes. He closed the gap in seconds and launched himself at the mans throat, his powerfull jaws ripping at flesh [hits on 27 - which is almost a threat] The man collapses, blood spurting from the nasty throat wound and onto the floor. As he goes down he utters a cry of suprise and his eyes seem to dim to a normal human shade of blue. Belwars companion growled close behind him but waited for the gnomes next move.
#6 Caligula seemed content to stare at someone on a nearby wall as he wobbled on his legs. He heard the death cry of a wolf and turned to see a man blooding heavily on the floor about 10 feet away. He gestured to the pair of wolves "Dont be shpilling too mush blood on the roadsh. Shomeone got to clean it up <hick>"
#7 The robed figure laughed at Bamoin. Not the laugh of a manic, but the laugh of one who knew he was in control. "I am the harbinger of death. Pray to your Gods as you die by my hand" Blurring his hands lashed outwards. Bamoin had the presence of mind to dodge backwards a little, catching the strange figure by suprise and causing him to miss.
#8 Atak turned to look for another target as he witnessed the demise of the man with the deadly eye. He watched a moment as Bamoin dodged backwards lightly avoiding the robed ones attack. Then, concentrating he began to intone the words of magic: [No way are you casting Fireball!!] Two glowing darts of pure force shot from his palm and struck the robed figure unerringly. [Magic Missle X 2 for 2D4+2 Damage = 8] He watched with satisfaction as the robed figure staggered slightly and paused looking for the source of the attack.
#9 Thak stood near to his brother, one hand holding his trousers up around his waist the other firmly on his axe. He waited and watched to see what the strange robed figure would do next.
[OOC and thats it : End of round 1. So actions for Round 2 please: The situation is:
