Around you the crowd begin to do a number of things, some, obviously suffering from the sight of a beloved friend being locked in a coffin panic and begin to run, others breakdown in tears, still more fight to help the bewildered looking Freddie.
"Freddie, is that you?" Lizzie Fayette the greiving widow says looking at her supposed dead husband. Fayette stops. lurches forwards, looks at her in shock then you see a comperhension cross his face. He suddenly throws back his head and howls and screams. Collaspsing he grabs his wifes legs with trembling arms. Two sobs then nothing ...
Elsewhere you hear mutterings, "Buried alive. It was that Dupuy. Get im." An angry ripple runs through some of the crowd as they begin hunting for the funeral director. Police begin to close around those in the crowd who would start a lynch mob.
Richard, amidst all the turmoil spots Leroy, who, with a furtive glance at the crowd begins to head away, trumpet in hand. The muscian gives chase, fingering a small game piece in his pocket as he does so. The rest of you watch his round a corner....
Alex, Jonathan and Jacques spot someone else taking a particular interest in the musician. You notice a short white man, half in a shop doorway, wearing a brown suit. As you pick him out you watch him move to a grey Packard waiting a few yards futher back in the street and it drive off. The three of you believe you've just seen the murderer of Manusco watching the funeral ...

You catch up with Leroy who, once a couple of blocks from the funeral procession slows to a normal walk. Hearing you call him he stops and turns, thinks a moment about running but doesnt.
"Yessir? You were at the club last night yes?" he asks as Richard approaches.
"Whats you want with me?"
