has this changed since i last played?

iv been fishing for 20 mins at 29.1 skill and not got 1 gain, tried shore and boat.

I don't think so - you can fish anywhere - shore until 80 I think - you should be gaining fast at that level. This may sound silly but perhaps your sjkill cap has been reached and you've not set a skill to lower.

not a vet toon and in up postion, seems u habe to use shore and not bpat to move it at all :/

"habe" is another one, but since I invented the typo I can understand what the difference between a "bpat" and a "boat" is. I'd fish from the shore, I remeber doing it from the harbour area in Brit... but try and stay awake because you'll get more boots than fish.
Having said that, I have heard that fishing may get revamped a bit soon...

what ever, back to the point in hand.

Used to be get 50 fishing from shore then go to boat and finish.

now i cant seem to raise anything at sea and im over 50.

so when do u stop fishing from shore?

I trained up fishing from the shore until I got to 60, then you have to go into deep water (14 squares from the shore) to gain, but you should gain by the shore.


At 60, get a boat and sail in a straight line, turn round, then command slow forward..

For UOA prepare the following macro :

Use item (your fishing pole)
Target relative (near your boat)
Pause 8000 (may depend on how fast your connection is)

repeat as many times as possible.
Beware of water elementals though, and from 80 skill on, also be careful of sea serpents.

GM mage, GM tailor already got a boat and as 8 x8 dont work anymore adding the Forward one text to amacro will ensure u never in same place and slower than slow forward

Hmm... the best bet may be to put a question up on Stratics as a lot of people from all shards read that... it's active on Europa
