Wii Media Centre software

Not via the media centre software (which basically just uses your web browser as the player), but if you convert the movies then dump them onto a SD card (up to 2GB) you can watch em full screen via the picture channel full screen.

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI....f a really cheap SD card reader I got on Ebay Get that for what was just over a fiver then get a 2GB SD card and your off :) (can also listen to MP3's over the picture channel in slideshow view)

Already got one. Think I pointed that out to you actually when you came up with an incredibly circumlocutory method of transferring files onto the Wii :p Good to know that you can run it in full screen though...have you had any luck getting it working? Didn't manage it on my mac.

Bah I'll blame this stinking cold and the lack of sleep, though I've just had night nurse so I'll sleep well tonight :)

The Media converter I've used since I got the Wii, they added 2 FLV formats recently 4:3 and 16:9 but I've yet to put them on the SD card and see the difference, the ones I have converted on AVI format though have worked a treat although due to the codec do end up larger than the original AVI file.

The Media centre I installed today and it worked off the bat using whichever port it runs at, I did notice sometime I had a different opening screen, and with only the video bit seemingly working well it's of little use to me right now as I'd rather put it straight onto the SD card and not have to leave the PC on, when it does support mp3 though I'll dig around a little more, in principal what it is doing is very simple but it all seems rather clunky right now (well it is in alpha to be fair to them).

In short the video converter works a treat, the media center bit I'll probably not use again until mp3's are supported.

Anyway night nurse kicking in, I have found a good way to watch movies though was the link posted on here about the TV website that streams stuff, works a treat in the Wii browser, can full screen it with a button on the bottom right ish of the video window and assuming the PC isn't torrenting it plays perfectly, watched half of the tick and 2 episodes of heroes on it, though I do find it silly that after 30 mins I need to press A to un-dim the screen but then if I turn off the screen protection on the Wii it won't do that, but I like leaving it on for when I end up leaving the Wii on and getting taken away to do other things.

Night nurse really kicking in, hope any of that made more sense that it reads right now

Orb

Another one which does it, might give this a try as it looks like it'll also allow me to listen to my music at home while at work (Unsure of this is simply just another file sharing type thing or secure)
