It was "basically" full body movement recognition, voice recognition, face recognition as a new control mechanism for the 360.

Now I love my x-box, it gets used more than either other console, but seriously, is this supposed to excite me ?

Issues:
1. x-box is so bloody noisy I'd never even consider having it setup in the living room, yes I know you can install it to HD, but that is a pain to do for each game you get, may as well have a PS3
2. Recognition system, now all be sure to have the lighting JUST right, don't open the curtains a crack, don't turn other lights on, Anyone who's used PS-Eye knows what I mean here
3. AI my ARSE !!!!!, here is a real world example of the clip Molyneux is on about
Computer: Hi Susan
Jane: No this is Jane
C: Sorry the lighting isn't right, shall I rescan ?
J: No give me a minute, I will close the curtains
C: Curtains not recognised, did you mean carpet ?
J: No, the curtains, look just wait
C: Angry voice detected, what's up Claire
J: *mutters and closes the curtains and sets the lights right*
C: Hello Jane
J: Hi Natal
C: *waits* Hi *waves*
J: Hi *waves*
C: *looks down at the floor*
J: What's wrong Natal ?
C: Sorry I didn't understand that sentance
J: Are you okay Natal ?
C: Sentance structure doesn't make sense
J: Natal, how are you ?
C: *shrugs* Sorry Jane I don't understand what you are saying
J: *looks online for cheats* How was school ?
C: *looks up* Ahh, well *looks down*
J: Have you not done your project for tomorrow ?
C: What project ?
J: Was there trouble at school ?
C: *looks sad*
J: *looks online at cheats again* Have you done your homework ?
C: No
J: Well shall I help with your homework for school ?
C: *looks sad*
J: What's wrong now ?
C: *looks up*
J: SCHOOL
C: *looks sad*
J: .... Right, do you need help with your homework ?
C: Yes please, look at the fish
J: *flails around*
C: Try and catch one
J: *punched the LCD screen* Ouch
C: I detect anger ni your voice, do you not like fish ?
J: I like fish, I just hurt myself
C: Great, can you help paint me a fish
J: What do you mean great, I hurt my hand *shows hand*
C: Brilliant, that's a great drawing Jane
J: That's not a drawing of a fish, I was showing you the mark on my hand
C: Oh is Mark here ?
J: Oh shut up
C: *looks sad*
J: Sorry Natal
C: *looks up*
J: SCHOOL
C: *looks sad*
J: I've had enough, Goodbye
C: Ahhh are you leaving me ?
J: Yes
C: *looks sadder*
J: I hope you RROD

Great idea to it, but there is no way the technology is advanced enough yet, and the whole "This isn't acted" bit REALLY annoyed me, what a load of crap, if in doubt and anyone thought that lady wasn't acting talking to that annoying kid all you need to do is look at the showing the picture bit and how she moves the paper away in a way to try and not pull your view away from the computer grabbing there bit of paper.

Maybe if any game I'd ever played with Voice Comms ever worked I'd have more faith, as it is it's a bolt on to an existing console that is going to be about as useful as a Nintendo power-glove.

But Crackdown 2 looked like fun

Only saw the natal download on xbox, so didn't see what Gottaa's ranting about :D , but the concept looks great, however I can't see the existing 360 being able to run like that? Mind you the Wii seems to be less powerful and does ok with motion sensing so.......IMHO the Wii is a solid build compared to the 360 for quality.

Crackdown 2 - great (must finish 1)
Halo ODST - yawn more of the same
Left for Dead 2 - eeek, run away too scarey graphics by far!

Crackdown is probably one of the most underated games of all time.. cant wait for the sequel.

I LOVE the concept, it's the fact the press are going head over heels about it when it just looks like a scripted thing that been run, and even showing it to the press it needs a developer fiddling with stuff for it to work. I don't see a reason to be excited by it when I can't see it actually working, it's like getting excited about pre-rendered movie clips of a game. And as it's an after sale product it's never going to have the spread of a Wii where the motion controls define the console rather than some bolt on where a game is going to use you looking at to control the camera.

The concept I do really like, it's just not going to work unless the room is properly setup, has properly lighting, you don't have any kind of accent, and at the moment you either need to run through a script or have a programmer controlling it.

Apart from Crackdown 2 and maybe Splinter Cell, not much grabbed me on the MS one. Natal could be brilliant but it'll probably be used in shit party games. L4D2 reeks of cynicism. Especially if its a full price purchase.

The Nintendo one was an embarassment for about an hour then bam!, Mario Galaxy 2 and a new Metroid. Other than those and Super Mario World Wii, its shocking to see what Nintendo have become.

Sony next. Some Uncharted 2, God of War 3, a new Wipeout and maybe Trico and that'll do from them.

Wearing pants, reluctantly.
Crackdown 2 looks awesomes.

Only problem is I don't want to shell out for xbox live as well just to play this =/

Anyone with a PS3 should take alook at the 'Fat Princess' demo on the store under the E3 coverage. Awful name admittedly but it's looks like it could be a really fun online game.
