Zombie fiction

I recently read this zombie fiction Surviving the evacuation , which was a real good read and nothing like the usual zombie crap I've read.

Set in London, the main character spends most of his time trying to hide from the zombies, trying to figure out how they can detect him and where he can find food and water to keep himself alive at the same time. There is no convenient warehouse full of food or a retired marksman with an array of guns at his disposal, just a guy stuck and trying to survive day by day.

Might be of interest to some.

I liked The rising by Brian Keene, Autumn by David Moody, Plague of the dead by Z.A Recht and of course World war Z, which is way better than the film. ( the audio book isn't bad either )

Agree that WWZ was a decent book of which the film bore no resemblance to at all...well apart from having zombies.

Will check out those other authors cheers.

A warning on Brian Keene, his books are hit and miss and If I remember rightly The rising has religious overtones to it. He has won the Bram stokers award for horror though.

Love zombie films and the few books I've read on the subject, including the Zombie Survival Guide, World War Z and Max Brooks 'Recorded Attacks' graphic novel. The kids bought me Pride and Prejudice and Zombies that I fully intend to burn one of these days. Anyway, I still don't think I've read anything that is half as good as I Am Legend.
