Q for u xbox owners.

I want to watch programmes from BBC iplayer on my tv that the xbox is connected to.

Can I watch the programmes on the xbox using a proggy other than windows media player via the pc? Is it zune that I need to download to the pc that xbox likes to use if u don't have windoz media player?

Any linky would be handy too

It's not Windows Media player you need it's Windows Media Edition - which is a flavour of Windows XP Pro.

There is however an alternative for people who don't want to install a new OS just to get their PC to play with their Xbox 360. Orb will do all the streaming stuff that WME does for free.

Zune is also somthing that the 360 uses and i use, unsure if it will play web based stuff tho as i only watch movies i have on my hard drive.

somewhere on here http://www.zune.net is a link, but it also gives u a url when u try setting up the 360 to talk with your PC.

Tried orb last night, easy to use and does have,web based media but i cant see how it plays iplayer, also it dosent stream media from PC to 360 as well as zune, almost as streams it like its going via the web s buffers it instead of it being instant.

Not sure if you have a Wii Swither, but I think that plays iPlayer stuff on the Wii without any problem, if you use the opera browser on the Wii

Yeah orb doesn't play iplayer stuff from the pc, so I'll try zune instead.
Mind u orb is quite good tho.
