Not bad, got a brand spanking new 360 delivered today exactly a week after I sent mine off for repair :D

In plenty of time for MW2 release :)

Well sending my recently replaced 360 back, as the dvd drive sounds like it is a bloody jet engine firing up and then rattles the shit out of my discs.
I guess it wasn't a brand new replacement and just a refurbished unit.

Typical and MW2 arrives this week :(

This is my 2nd replacement, I hope the 3rd arrives as quick as this one did - 1 week turnaround.

Zed, they took mine foc, as the replacement has a 90 day warranty for standard faults. Check your warranty online, it should say the date when it finishes and the 3yr warranty covers rrod and E74 and some other fault codes it seems.

I wasn't going to send mine either, as it was working, but the more I read around about disc drive issues the more worried I became. Shattered discs or the bearings on the drive finally going seems to be what happens, so I've sent mine back as I don't want to accept a crap refurbished unit.

MW2 arrived yesterday too....damn :(

MW2 only �32 at amazon now, for those like me who didn't pre-order it

and �26 for 360 version in Morrisons while stocks last

Seeing as I can't play my copy of MW2 and haven't opened it, I will return mine to a Game shop in the morning for a refund as I paid �45 for the pre-order copy and just buy it somewhere else for a lot less I think.

Nice got a copy for �26 at Sainsburys - refund of �45 from Game - result :)

Now all I need is my xbox back.

The Morrisons nearby is sold out, as are all the sainsburys that a friend drove to (4 in total), think I'll take it as a sign and stick with Borderlands and try and rebuild my gamer score *sniff*

The guy at work who bought it from me basically wanted everything all in so he didn't have to do anything, so he gold the old console, some of the games, and the 10 months left on that live account, and paid for my brand new elite that came with 3 games and an extra controller.

I think we both did pretty well from it for what we wanted, but looking at a gamerscore of zero again I do get a pang, even if my old score wasn't huge anyway
