Sadly my 2 dwarves have left the ingame guild that is Clanuk, had been a 'holding' operation for many a long time now and a good friend has been tryin to get me to join him for a while - seems like a good time (if ever there is such a thing) i'll miss you lot, it's been really great - as a great man once said - "it's been emotional" take care all and erghh well the gnomey's are still around - cute little buggers!!

i'm curious too. am relatively new to wow but it feels odd to be in clan without the likes of preacher, jett, readon, elorion, kegs, medi, mord ... the list goes on.

i see many names i recognize from daoc in the player list freeze posted but not many i recognize actually in game.

Bunty thats cuz they left to form there own guild some months ago, cuz they wanted to do high end content. and couldnt be bothered to wait for the casual gamers. And some silly thing about people from the horde side butting in on Alliance chat on these forums. Iv got the hole clanuk ingame meeting loged about it just before the split if you want to see it. (Edit: Soz dont have them anymore they where screenshots. and i forgot i lost my games drive around xmas)

Ever since then Clanuk has been struggling to get to high end content cuz half the guild split.

And before someone critisise me for not being around iv just got to say. I stuck around for along while in Clanuk after the split, there was hardly any lvl 60 people left in Clanuk, it was hard just trying to get a 5 main instance going. So i joined the clanuk lot on the horde side in MTS just for PvPing really. Got really addicted to it. But the last fuw weeks iv been bored of just PvP, and not being able to do any Raids there. So when i mentioned this to MarkS he sujested id come play with Aggy and the guild he was in when they played on the US server, but they had been playing on one of the new Euro server that went up just before xmas. So iv been there since for the last 5 days.

It seems you are still bitter about it, and humping all the blame on those 'Heretics'. They all, as far as I know, did it out of spite to fuck YOU over personally. So There.

Just a quick note...I didnt leave clanuk guild in wow to join another, I stayed.

Actually the split happened just before I came back from a 3 month break.

Kinda got bored though, after playing agian for a while and upon reaching the dizzy heights of 50s. Not really doing anything at the moment other than being a troll

I do agree with you Dart, but lets leave it before it blows up again.

The past is best left there... lets look forward to the next CUK game.

Well things ingame where going fine, it was only the forums people where compaining about.
But then everying went tits up ingame afterwards.
I do remeber that speech about dont worrie where all Clanuk member you can join us in our new guilds partys. Only forgot to mention, that now you felt like an outsider and made you feel like a pug person. Oh and the big raids, sorry you cant come on unless your MAIN character is in our guild

Splits do seem to be inevitable in this kind of game. Didn't similar splits occur in EQ and DAOC? Meh. EQ was before my time and I don't remember much from UO past standing round the bank in Moonglow mis-directing the passers by. Was it Moonglow? Seem to remember various similar shenanigans in DAOC too.

Seems a shame to split the guild is all. DAOC was a real giggle when everyone was there. Still have many screenies of various XP expeditions splayed out in the grass after getting stomped by something purple

Selective memory for the win. as i said dart, the whole thing was about you, and done to spite you.

Don't worry though, that's exactly the way that non clanuk members were made to feel on CUK organised raids....oh, hang on a sec. i don't seem to remember them. It's a constant source of entertainment to me the amount of blame that got shipped, because the people that constantly and repeatedly got of their arses to try to take the guild to new experiencses got nothing in response apart from whining, bitching, and tantrums, and typed /gquit.

Then again, as you say, it is a game, and peopel pay to ahve fun. if they don;t have fun, they take their money elsewhere
