I'm expecting it to be over-rated by all reviewers. Peter Molyneux is over-rated IMO. He did an amazing game with Populous, DK was OK but everything else has been average at best. Nice ideas, lots of poor execution; B&W being a point in case. The original Fable was also average if you ask me.

Its like the backlash against GTA IV atm - People now saying "Oh, actually, when you finish the game its got nothing left fun". Well, as game reviewers, don't you think you should have finished it first? No, Rockstar have a big advertising spend so of course they are going to spooge over it. The publishers more or less demand it.

I expect the same hyperbole with Fable II. I'd liked to be proved wrong mind you but I have my doubts. Game reviewers need to spend more than 5 minutes on a game before giving it a score. Ok, the guy in the Eurogamer review says it tooks him two days to get to the end of the narrative but is two days gaming worth 40 quid? Not these days.

Game reviewers are whores :D

10/10 for bioshock? Even taking away its what, 18 months after the PC and 360 ... unless that actually made the game a challenge with some penalty for dying other than running back a little bit it doesnt deserve a 10

I like the look of Fable but ill wait and see what people think of it, never been knocked dead by a Molyneaux game.

Bioshock is another over hyped game.

There is much more of it about these days.

Luckily I completely missed all of the hype for Bioshock. I saw it in a supermarket the day after release, had never heard of it, and picked it up on a whim. Meant I could enjoy it for the bundle of awesomeness it is, without and hype to sour it. :D

Fable Two? More like Fable Gay! Hahahaha!

Well, you could find a stupid gay villager, rename him st00d, get him to follow you and then sacrifice him at the Wheel of Torture.

Mind you, I don't suppose you'd have much trouble getting similar fun IRL using st00d himself, a few cans of cheap lager and a canal.

Aye I'd give Bioshock no more than a 7. Great atmosphere ruined by some poor gameplay choices.

I'm a bit concerned that Fable II is another Peter Molyneaux running his mouth off again nonsense but I'm hoping the Eurogamer review is fairly accurate as it'll be great if it comes off. For all of the hype, the original was still a good game.

Pre-ordered from Gameplay. Hope it lives up.

One thing I do remember from probably a few years ago when PM diaries were being made, he mentioned that we could design our own dog from a selection of breeds i.e German Shephard, husky, golden retriever etc etc. Is this still the case or do we all have a standard type now. I seen no further mention of it.

There's just the 1 dog, but it does change a bit depending on your good/evilness. If he said that, it must've been before he promised not to say things like that ;)

Noone much has mentioned the orbs, they're quite fun (Ted spotted someone saying this last night).

While in the Bowerstone Tavern, I heard two cool orb conversations;

�Dude� 1: �Dude, have you seen the ass orb?�
�Dude� 2: �Haha, no. Where is it?�
�Dude� 1: �Follow me, I�ll show you the ass orb, someone has taken a photo of their own ass�
�Dude� 2: �Awesome!�
