I'll more than likely be on tonight playing Stake 2, if you need an extra player just send me a message and I'll pop L4D in - Campaign or Versus I don't mind.

8pm works for me, and brutus you can add gamertags from the web, it's much easier than doing it on your console. Just need someone else to take over start a new Gamertag thread using what I had so we have a tidy one

Well I had a real blast night night and would like to thank everyone, I'm sure I was the worst survivor although I did enjoy one of the rounds where Soupy and I limped (okay well I was the one limping) along after a very pleasant ride in a lift. And I think I held my own a little better as a zombie (first time playing as a zombie and didn't like the long respawn timers, I'd rather at least have been playing a normal zombie while waiting to spawn, but still good fun).

Biggest issue I had was not knowing the maps well enough, there so dark it was a real struggle at times, having been used to having someone sat next to me when I played pointing at which way to go :)

Great fun though and I'll try and join you all again if you don't mind the little guiding (try as I might I just can't convince myself to play single player, just enjoy co-op so much more now)

I thought we might actually make it limping to the Safehouse, we got pretty close!

That was part of my problem with not knowing the maps, and you seemed to twig that as well because you were waiting around for me at the corners (which while was probably the reason we died cos I slowed us down, but it was most appreciated).

And I agree Swither, although to be fair it was better than it could have been.

Hopefully next time we can form up a survivor party and I'll learn the maps more, I already know them alot better now, but I still get stuffed when I get jumped by Z's and end up losing track of where I am in the darkness

P.S Does having the flashlight on make life harder as it attracts Z's ? I'm pretty sure I had my flashlight on the whole time last night to help me pick things out in the darkness.

And lastly does anyone ever use the hunting rifle ? I like the machine gun thing the most, followed by the shotgun

The torch upsets the witch, so best to turn it off when near. It also makes the zombie versus players able to spot u easier. Not sure about ordinary zombies though?

Try the maps single player to learn the way around a bit. I still get lost though most times in the carnage and tend to follow everyone else :D

I tend to favour the Shotgun, although this is mainly because I'm abit of an ammo whore and tend to myself running out of ammo quickly with the Machine guns/Uzi's. I do however pick those for the final 'rescue' acts because your mostly stationary on those acts within easy reach of an ammo recharging point.

As for the Hunting rifle i'm not much of a fan, you can shoot though zombies using it and therefore kill a bunch of them if they are in a line. There are a couple of more open area scenerio's where the zoom can be useful to pick off zombies from range, but overall it's not a weapon I often pick.

Whichever weapon you pick the Gun Butt attack is highly useful, great if you find yourself vomitted on by a boomer, just keep spamming the attack and you can keep yourself safe - also you can't do teammates damage using it unlike gunfire.

*whistles* I'm sure someone said friendly fire was off ;)

And I should play it single player but I find it hard to get the desire levels up when it's single player, co-op all the way !

Which reminds me anyone tried the demo of RE:5 ? At a quick glance of screenshots it looks more friendly for me with less pitch black/dark tunnels, etc but I don't like the idea of not being able to run and shoot, I mean if you were being chased by 50 zombies I bet you wouldn't take the time to stop to shoot, in the same way you'd be unlikely to hostler your weapon everytime you start running

had a great night last night and I have to agree about getting rid of the idiots next time ( I got a friend request from one of them, yay me! ).Was unlucky that a few friends from my work weren't on last night or we could of had our last 3 people. As for the friendly fire I didnt think it did any damage unless you were playing it on the higher settings, I know in expert it knocks you on your ass if you get hit with a shotgun which makes for great fun when you get boomered.I like the resident evil 5 demo but it seems hard, maybe I just need practice.
