Left 4 dead night? (360)

Friendly fire does damage on all settings, it's just less noticable in easier settings.

The hunting rifle's good, but it's more advanced. Can take down special zombies very quickly with them (they nerfed the auto-shottie versus tanks recently, rifle seems to be best against him now, which makes sense). I prefer assault rifle though, pesonally. Used to prefer autoshotie, and it's still good in enclosed spaces, but assault rifle's still good up close, and is accurate enough to take zombies out a distance.
As long as you fire controlled bursts ammo should last okay, and you can open it up in panic situations. :D

Flashlight pisses off witches, but doesn't make much difference in the distance at which normal zombies attack you. Doesn't eally make a difference in versus either, since you're highlighted anyway.

And yes, learn to love the melee button. Spam it like crazy ;)

Which reminds me anyone tried the demo of RE:5 ? At a quick glance of screenshots it looks more friendly for me with less pitch black/dark tunnels, etc but I don't like the idea of not being able to run and shoot, I mean if you were being chased by 50 zombies I bet you wouldn't take the time to stop to shoot, in the same way you'd be unlikely to hostler your weapon everytime you start running

Tried it and the controls are very clumsy, hold both triggers to fire ffs! Looks great, but the over fussy controls put me off.

Thought the same, nice to look at but the controls are really poor, no excuse in this day and age.

This is something that cropped up a lot with 4.

From all of the interviews I've ever read with the devs, its pretty much intended to be like it is. Struggling with the controls creates more panic which I think in some way mirrors how you may actually feel being stormed by a horde of Z's.

After some short practise I flew through the two levels pretty quickly but then I still play through 4 on occasion. One of the tricks is not to move from zombie to zombie while in aim mode as its so slow. Aim and shoot and then if you have to turn for the next target drop out of aim mode and turn to face the new target then hit up aim mode again.

Its seems very marmite. Either it all clicks or it doesn't.

The only issue I have so far is that Chris takes up far too much of the screen.

Its also probably one of the best looking current gen games from a Japanese house who have lagged behind the western devs in the eye candy depaertment this gen.

Im up for a game yes, minus the random gimps though. I can get some extra players if need be.
