most console fpses that i've seen have auto-aim that can't be turned off, so it gives console gamers an inflated view of how awesome at aiming they are.
its especially annoying when your trying to shoot someones arm thats stuck out round a wall or something, and the game keeps adjusting your shots to their centre of mass so you hit the wall...
I understand PC gamers being disappointed with the MW2 setup but I really think that this is going to be the vogue for big console games. The companies are making the big bucks from the console community and are going to do a cheap port. I imagine they looked at the economics of MW1 in terms of the cost of extra development to take advantage of the PC versus the gain in revenue and potentially the extra time it took to get to market.
