Anyone else grab a founders pack?

Im really interested to see how this one plays. Maybe itll rekindle my desire for a Fantasy MMO game :)

The way I look at it, cant be any worse than Guild Wars 2 was.

Im hoping, irrespective of graphics, that the game play based around 4e dnd is solid - apart from the inflated damage numbers that is.

Done some testing and its noting like DDO which I was hoping for. I havent tested a great deal as its usually been silly hours when its open but so far I will be giving it a miss.

You probably cant go into specifics but is it the implementation in general, the 4th Edition ruleset its based on or something else?

I watched the streaming for a bit this morning and it looked good. Seemed to be somewhat DnD'ish to me. I will have to look closely as the classes and builds vs 4E and see how it plays in game.

For me 4e is a pnp version of an MMO from game mechanics pov which might be a reason for it feeling more generic fantasy than the classic dnd

Given itll be F2P i dont see why you wouldnt ;-)

The more ive seen, given i like 4E the more i think this will be a fun diversion. Guess ill find out tonight :)

Its very different to Wow. the combat requires you to not stand around and take a beating, unless you are the guardian fighter of course.

Combat is fluid. The quests seem okay, pretty typical in their offering to be honest with some storyline stuff as well.

So i was feeling a bit let down by this one until i hit level 17 then everything seemed to fall into place.

i love the combat. Very dynamic and fast. I think it has its work cut out for it though, the classes are lacking right now in both the variety and customisation. Sometimes you feel out of proportion to the scenery, but if you play 4e this isnt a million miles from how you would see 4e playing in a computer game.

for a F2p title it will have legs...

Id consider this if it wasnt for the fact that 1, im skint and 2, the $59.99 pack (approx 38 squid) becomes a 55.99 euro pack when you look into it (approx 48 squid).

I really wish there was a law against such practices.

once it goes live its F2P from the gate so no cost to jump in.

Just started playing as it's gone into "open beta *wink* *wink* eg launched.
this is propper fun.
no clue of the F2p/p2w limitations yet but i'd recommend checking it out.

Edit; oops midnight. yeah it's good fun tbh.
