That's a really dull draw. All the English clubs avoided a really mouthwatering team from pot B (Real, Inter, Juventus and even Rangers). Although Man Utd got the horror team in the last Pot in Wolfsburg they managed to get the lesser teams in Pot 2 and 3. Chelsea vs A Madrid is the only match involving English teams thats interesting.

Thought the ref in the Mancs v Arsenal game was a disgrace. Every 50-50 went the Mancs way. Arsenal denied a nailed on pen, while the Mancs get theirs.

Refs know the FA won't back them up against Ferguson so they make the easy decision every time.

Other than the obvious, I'm still trying to work out how we lost.

The ref bottled it on the penalties. It's at Old Trafford so they get theirs and we don't get ours. We scored within a minute so it didn't affect the outcome but still.

We were decent but they were dire. They're gonna drop a lot of points early this season unless they improve fast.

I'm happy we played quite well and the nature of the goals were quite freaky, it wasn't down to the back four or a bad performance. I pissed myself laughing when Wenger climbed into the stands and was asking the ref what his problem was

They were that shit for large parts of last season, notably the unbeaten run they went on taking 42 points from 42. They got refereeing performances just like todays time and time again.

The refs are shit scared of Ferguson, knowing the FA won't back them up and they will get dropped from big games if they give decisions against the Mancs.
