i like the beta but i must say the game is

A.Vapourware

B.****ing old

C.that fact they have ****ed it so badly by not letting Euroes in proves the point that it is imho gonna fall flat on it's all most yanks i think will head straight for SWG or anything else

ah well im ordering the Exp for UO and playing a necro or pally **** SB hehe....shame i like the game but not being able to release it in Europe just plain says it all

I've just heard a conflicting report that someone in Ubi has said that they won't be doing an address check to see where you are playing from.

So this is conflicting. I'll let you know if I find out more.

Its a shame, becasue this game is well worth a bash. Being able to build your own cities and then destroy your enemies cities is really great and the sieges on the cities are quite spectacular. Make DaoC keep sieges look pretty lame.

There are some very nice classes to play as well and lots of ways to build and distinguish yourself from other players. Overall its got the potential to hammer DAoC but too many things seem to be up in the air at the moment.

im getting BF1942 and AC2 and also i made sure to patch up the pc last night so CS is completely up to date... DAoC has kinda died with RL in the way and the fact the server has changed for me over the last few weeks..

Ive been bored for months but dont think i can get enough bored as to buy AC2 after looking at beta

Got BF1942 (also the expansion though cant see much point in it yet) prob is the best thing going right now.Trouble is finding the right server for the modem peeps,still a lot more fun ways to kill people you know than CS .Suggest all you peeps who havent got it get it get online and well show loads of ways we can kill ya .Even shooting your own planes is fun when youve got 6 ****s doing nothing but waiting on airfield cos all they wana do is fly.

CS could update that if enough of you lot do, gave that up ages ago cos of number of cheaters in that game.But wouldent mind playing with (ie killing) you lot,cos if you cheat at least i can post the fact on these boards

Trouble i find with CS is if you go away from it even for a couple of months you turn into insta-noob , and its hardly a noob friendly game, for the first week its a chat client while waiting for the round to end

and yer the cheaters ruin it

I've been playing AC2 on Morningthaw. Playing as Shield and Magos mostly; look me up on there if you want a hand getting started with equipment, and showing around hunting spots etc

Turbine deserve a round of applause for coming up with the most original class in years in the Tactician, if for nothing else. For those who dont know, this guy can cast walls which mobs cant pass through but players can, which is great fun teamed with mages and archers. Can also cast turrets, which are like immobile pets, which knock out huge damage.

They've rolled out the first few months story lines, added quests and vaults etc, and its picked up since beta. Still only a stop gap until SWG, though.

As an aside I ordered SB through Gamestop and order hasn't been cancelled (yet ). They are one of the three places which give a voucher with the game allowing you to play two otherwise locked races from launch. Will use an american friend to pay for me if I have to and get the funds to him

Been playing SB for a few days and here are some of my thoughts.

The Good
Has a massive potential highly addictive and very nice looking.
Also has 2 types of in game maps one that stays local to were you are, and you see yourself running around on it, then there is a full game world map which gives your location as a red arrow.

The chat windows are very easy to use and there was plenty of people on to help, when I got totaly lost

CSR response is mega quick like 2 mins quick in fact and none of this "oh im sorry we cannot help you" malarky it was done and dusted in 4 mins tops.

The magic system in this game is one of the best ive seen, fantastic looking graphics and simplistic to use. Also they have a race that can fly yes fly and a race that run like horses ermm probably because they are half horse lol.

Absolutly loads to do and this is beta?
did not feel like a beta game at all everything works and it works very well.

The overall feel of the game is fantastic and very imersive (you can here them Spiders comming in behind you) *shudder*

The Bad
No movment control by keyboard (YET) you right click on the ground and off you go, you can only turn left and right but not go forwards ir backwards, very strange at first but soon get used to it.

Has far too many camera angles and if you even as so much slightly touch the side of the interface your camera angle goes all over the shop. This can cause chaos when your in battle.

Mana down time at low level is very bad, not figured out if there is something you need to make it regen faster but seems there isnt apart from rest.
I timed it from 0-156 at 14 mins and at 156 you get a max of 9 power bolts.

Death- well what can I say if you die in this game you pay big time.
Some like that risk I dont, you loose everything in your pack and I mean everything and not only that your grave can be looted by other players.
So best way to make cash is to sit and wait for people to die at the bandits then go grave robbing.
Oh must say thanks to the guy that took my new robe and 3000 gold hope he chokes on it

you dont get to choose a profesion untill lvl 10, this is way too high and lvl 10 is not easy to get to. At lvl 6 i think your ready for your skill set.

Still a few bugs to iron out but overall it will be a massive hit.
