Aye agree with all of that mate.

The camera and control system was something a few of us pointed out a long time ago, unfortunately, those who liked the system, or who were the fanboys, had the loudest voices. I'm hoping they change the controls and camera to be a lot more intuitive, but its not looking likely.

Getting to 10 isn't actually that bad if you get in a group but if you solo, then 7-10 can be an absolute pain, depending on what class you want to be. If you want to be a scout with bow for instance, then you have to wait until you are level 10. Also you don't want to waste training points on dagger which is the base classes weapon, so you have to get to 10 with your untrained weapon skill which is a complete nightmare. Once you get 10 though you are fine.

The archer classes have been done well, which makes a change. The Scout gets a running skill, tracking, stealth, special bow attacks that snare and slow. They are quite powerful but not overly so. I'm sure people will be screaming nerf when the game goes live.

I haven't been able to play for a while because it dosen't like my Radeon card or drivers so I haven't seen the more recent updates.

ooo you should re do your patch matey they have updated the card database and your radion should be fine now.

They have had a couple of issues with the servers on saturday as the new world went live It crashed the other one etc etc.
Yeah know what you mean about scouts there a 1 man army just how i would of expected DAOC scouts to be :(

I am currently playing a mage called Merlin no less lol and I do hope they sort out that camera angle thing it's a pain but I suppose it could be lived with if needs be.

But thats about it for me on SB I wanted to give it a try and I have and enjoyed it, I may play in some spare time but as Encounter hit 50 and Spydor is nearly there too we have some major dmg to deal out in Emain :)

Been playing Git's beta acc and have to say I am hooked despite the lag and the map that shows water as a dirt track image. Seeing the deer deep under the water happily munching away reminds me of UO 2nd Age beta testing and the bugs in that when we were testing hehe.

A definate buy for me when the euro servers get sorted I think and I LOVE the mouse control, how easy it is after playing UO. SWG is a filler I reckon till this is released.

I love the way you swim deep under water too, not like daoc.
Stealters will use that to there advantage im sure.

and I agree with the river as a dirt track I ran for miles to that damn thing thinking I had finaly found a road home lol

Good spot to hunt is north of Knightsbridge lots of nastys up there and some very impressive looking acient buildings.

I don't think its a bad thing to be honest though mate.

For all the games potential and great ideas, and as much as I like it, its still a bug ridden, instable piece of **** from a code point of view. I'm amazed its coming out in 3 weeks or so and it wouldn't suprise me if it goes back again.

When it does finally reach us, if another delay dosen't kill it off completely, it'll hopefully be stable and relatively bug free.

Aye I played AO when it was first release....or as I like to call it , a beta test you pay for, BUT I've heard alot of good things now about AO , only problem is the stigma is still there, :(
