duel weilding is easy enought once you get them down, just remember to drink your health pots and a resist pot. it can be a pain to get them to land tho for if you in a town the keep landing on houses, kite them out of town or buy a bow for ranged dmg. if you duel weilding you realy want to max out blacksmithing asap. just go up one side of the tree till you get dearia and dragon

I have no ranged attacks or spells or use a bow etc (apart from shouts) on my 2H/heavy armour guy.

To get dragons to land, if I am in a place near people I let the guards plink away at the dragon with their bows, pick a guard that looks like he might get squished and run close to him and shout when the dragon gets in range. So far that gets their attention so I can chop their heads off :)

this was in the middle of nowhere near a fishing shack, just me and the fisherman lol, no one was going to help me drag ye olde dragon down :) might have to go back and reload the last save, then try near a town heh

i was werewolf. i think i tried it once then never bothered changing. You occasionally get comments about having fur in your ears.

Just run through the quests sequentially and you will get the chance to cure yourself at the very end of the arc.

You get a sprinting power attack as a werewolf that owns for taking down giants.

I've been getting a it bored with my ninja, so swapped back to the Juggernaut yesterday to see hwo the play style compares after finally getting the game running at full speed / no lag for the first time in 3 weeks.

Ohh i forgot how much fun it was to run about hitting things. But being 3-shot by mages got annoying.

An hour of running around hills with a soul-catchign sword, an hour levelling up Enchanting, and suddenly my dude is back to being boss again. I'll post stats later if you care.

I'm tring, really trying, not to abuse Smithing / Enchanting too muc....

That said utilizing the"Increased skill" enchanting perk and 3/5 enchanting strength perks to make a ring/neclace/gloves of fortify smithing (~+15% each) plus drinking a smithing potion, then crafting / upgrading an Ebony armour set + some Weapons, then stuffing it full of resist magic enchants, life is pretty good.

It's up to Legendary when upgraded, so i suspect i'm way over the Armour cap, but it looks amazing.

I've come across people doing much, much worse things via Enchanting -> Alchemy -> Enchanting -> alchemy -> enchanting -> alchemy -> Smithing.

it wouldn't be elder scrolls if you couldn't break it though right?

i thought the enchant -> alchemy -> ... -> smithing loop was supposedly legitimate? it's hard to believe you're not supposed to do it - you'd have to sack all your testers if that's not the case.

isn't it just those few miscellaneous broken items that let you go way over any limits that screw it up royally?

Oh for sure it's legit, it's just ... well... an exploit at the same time :)
(Lets just call it a feature!)

In case anyone (Corwin?) is looking for daedric hearts:
There's 4 available from the "Mehune's Razor" quest finale, after visiting the Dawnstar Museum.
There's 1 that (allegedly) re-spawns inside the Companions HQ. Basement, head to the end - look for the red heart.
You can get 2-3 from doing the "No-one can sleep" quest if it triggers in Dawnstar. On shelves as you are looking for the Potion.
Dwymer ruins for others. I think you get sent to some as part of either DB or Thieves questlines, i forget which, and i picked up a few hearts from there. 6 is enough for 1 full set + a weapon (you'll need 25 Ebony bars to Craft and fully upgrade it too). Pushed up to Legendary the Daedric axe of 75 damage before enchant is pretty nice \o/

Now: How do you know what souls you'll collect, from which sources. is it dependant on your conjuring skill?
While it's fun to have grand soul gems with petty souls in, i'd rather not.....

i find it easyer to check out the alchemy sellers every time am in town , you soon pickup all the hearts you need, by the time you need them (if that makes sense)

You can get a few Daedric hearts if you do the Azuras black crystal quest, ....I'm too low to survive it just yet.

it's... beautiful.

For any PC suers suffering from Performance degradation:
Delete your INI files, re-verify the steam package, defrag the steam package (from within steam) and then re-run the graphics configuration.

I've been slowly losing framerate for ages, and was down to 1650 rez @ medium - after this back to 1900x1080 @ Ultra. no longer need to vsync / mouse acceleration ini tweaks too, though removing the x-box controller is still handy.

Well been playing this game for weeks now, one of the most immersive game experiences ever had well since Fallout 3.
Started playing Mage type characters until I saw how broken they were, after getting my ass whipped umpteenth times switched to my stealthy/sneaky/cutthroat Thief character and have never looked back :)
There's nothing so satisfying as sneaking up to a bandit and taking him down in one hit with a x30 multiplier backstab :)
Right now have maxed sneak and archery along with all the associated perks with one handed as backup.
Loads of perks saved and close to max on alchemy which feels the right fit for an assassin.
Also finding this to be the most stable game I have yet played but then again I have resisted modding it at all yet and won't until I got the main quest complete.

Someone please slap me and make me eat my words.

Gave my xbox to one of my kids, as the only game I was playing on it was Skyrim.

Ran the 'can ur pc run this' thing and it said my ancient old rig passed the min requirements.

Bought the pc version today and........on the lowest settings it still looks as good or even better in places than the xbox! I can just about get away with medium settings too, but it becomes 'jerk O vision' when busy on screen, so low is fine :)

Now I just need to get used to gaming on a keyboard/mouse combo again after years on a controller (yes I know I can always use an xbox controller too )

Blimey take ur pick.

One hand sword & spell works well or sword & board & bow.

I prefer 2H sword myself, but have trouble sometimes with ranged attacks.

Mage is harder unless you take 1 H weapons or use heavy armour for a battlemage.

Lots to choose from and depends on ur playstyle.
