Playing again

Hmmm, tempted to come have a look if a few people are playing again. Much like Gotta I don't think I've played for well over 3 years and not properly for 5 so have no idea what's on my account. I might just roll up a new character and wander through the content from scratchings have changed for a bit.

Having said that I vaguely remember having got to mid 40s with a priest on Teranas and Warlock somewhere else (no idea which server).

I think I bought TBC and played for a month or two a few years ago so have at least one expansion. Does Cataclysm have new and updated content for the lower levels as well or is it primarily higher level stuff (i.e. given i'm either starting from scratch or at best mid 40s do I buy the expansions I'm missing now or wait till later if I ever get up to 60+)?

Actually, do you need to buy WOTLK as well as Cataclysm or does Cataclysm cover all the content to date?

Suppose I best go do some reading given I've pretty much ignored any of the stuff about Cataclysm so far

Think you'll need LK as well, or you won't be able to level past 70 as you only get 10% of the xp in old zones once you should move now.

Yes main is still a rogue, hopefully start finding some decent gear upgrades soon, as it's a bit subpar currently. Motorbike going well, not enjoying the snow but still rinding.

The Scroll of ressurection limits you to Classic content afaik, but that content has now been massively updated, cataclysm has changed the 1-60 process as well as the 80-85

Ok, re subbed and bought LK & Cat on digital download (its the future) because i'm a sucker...

Which faction is everyone assuming they're on Teranas (I seem to have a Warlock on Bronze Dragon as well I'd forgotten about)? I'm completely confused after all this time but as a start have created a Worgan Hunter called "Telth" just because it's a new race I'd not seen before and Hunter describes itself as being solo and leveling friendly.

Most are on Terenas, in a number of scattered guilds, but Catz might still be around now and then on the CUK guild.

How do I display the damage my spells do like it does with weapons?

My Shadow Bolt just says "Causes Shadow damage at long range" instead of "Sends a shadowy bolt at the enemy, causing 564 to 628 Shadow damage" etc

Noticed the same thing with my ranged attacks - doesn't seem to be any obvious way to work out the specifics of the damage etc.
