(/ooc Whats south of room 6 ?)

I'll sheeth my other blade inconspicously.

If we've not searched the room yet (wich I presume we hadn't as we had a fight entering it), I'll help search :) those crates look semi interesting

(/ooc it's not my fault if a trinket or two slip into my pocket)

If/when we're moving out I'll act as advance scout staying around the edge of light range ahead of the party looking for traps and what not. coming back if I find anything (trap or beast). Hopefully will stop our group blundering into any more monsters without some warning. You guys were like a heard of cattle coming up the passage.

(/ooc if anyone's getting 1st dibbs on goodies it's gonna be me, see above ooc)

after doing a search, I'll take up position near the door to the south listening and preparied to melt into the shadows there if needed.

"And if they think we're cattle, then wont they be surprised when we emerge to slaughter them? its all part of a subtle plan you see" jial says, grinning slightly to show he doesnt really mean it and kinda agrees with aciiid.
(ooc: shouldnt a paladin object somewhat to being with such a.... loose moralled person as aciiid?)

Object - probably, but at the same time a Paladin would tolerate the rogue because of the skills he brings to the table. hes not overtly evil but chaotic neutral means he would put himself above everyone else and take actions which suit him, not what might be logical. He will be an interesting diversion for Bamoin, and I can think of a couple of 'items' he might want to think twice about 'putting on'.

......

Kalerecant looks aroud, "So It seems for the moment we are allies, if not friends." He moves to stand between the wolf and the body, fishing around in his pack a moment he pulls out some dried beef and toss's over to the animal, "What do you wish to do? We should return to the surface, warn the church of what has happened, or you could explore more of this complex. I will remain here though until you are ready to leave."

He looks at the other paladin, "you though may accompany these, as a representative of the church. And no doubt your friend of dubious character will follow you."

He waits for a response..

Risach humbly follows Kalerecant, willing to lay down his life to defend his friends from the forces of 3vil.

"Have you seen anything of the foul Dark Elves in this place Kalerecant?" Thak asks. "And what are the Quaan?"

The Paladin looks at Thak with a quizzical look on his face.
"Dark elves are non existant now. There kind was, according to legend, destroyed some 1000 years ago. Why do you ask about them? And, as for a the Quaan, I have no idea as to who they are or who they work for."

"A Dark Elf came into town and killed at random until we sent him back to his evil gods halls, it was not an easy encounter" Thak shudders at the remberance of the death's by magic which he fear's above all.

Belwar delightfully gulps down the beef, and as we all settle down to eat a meal, he sits down right in front of Kalerecant, and stares patiently right into Kalerecent's eyes with a sort of odd puppy-like look, waiting for more beef. As Kalerecent tries to ignore him, Belwar suddenly hops onto his lap and puts all his weight on Kalerecant so that he goes down, howling once, and then Belwar lies comfortably down on Kalerecant, looking into his eyes stubbornly waiting for more as if Belwar has all the time in the world to wait for *his* beef...

(ooc: :D. Well, we could as well back to town with the pally, and come back down here to explore afterwards, as it'll probably take ages for the bureaucratic priests or whatever to get their asses down here. Or we could just ditch the pally and go exploring. Either way suits me just fine, as long as I get my beef. :p)

Kalerecant heaves the wolf off whilst grabbing for more beef. he nods thankfully as Caligula heals his wounds a little [Caligula casts Cure light wounds - heals for 9 points]

....

so the party choices are:

1. return to the surface.

2. Explore more of the dungeon. there are two ways to the south, from the generator room or back to where the wraith spawned, there is a way to the south there.

I'll re-emphasise - you still are not 100% sure of how the dark elf escaped though its looking like it was to do with the Quaan. It might be enough to satisfy Jevvica if you wish to leave the remainder of the level un explored ;-)

*speaking to Kalerecant"

"Who knows what untapped evil may still be lurking in these dank caverns. We should secure the area then leave these noble [ooc: *pfffft*] warriors to guard the portal whilst we return to the surface."

*speaking to 'them'
" What message would you have us return to your mistress?"

Belwar takes happily a few bites off the beef, whilst playing with it joyfully near Kalerecant, until Risach finishes her sentence. (ooc: Er, do we have a female paladin here or a male one?)

Suddenly the wolf whirls around with a growl to face Risach, and assumes a defiant stance with a loud howl. Quite obviously, your favourite druid doesn't like at all the idea that was just presented by the new paladin in the group... Some hostile glint in the wolf's eyes betray you exactly what he's thinking... "Ye might as well be the one to stay here in this dark damp lightless compound..."

Exploring where we have not been,, south you said I think,,

" I spose we better get this tin-pot back to his owners, but getting some more information to take back is also a good idea whilst we are all here"

okay unless anyone else objects ill send you around the walkway and into the tunnel directly south of the room you are in - Room 8

........................IC.............................

The room holds nothing of value. But provides a good place to hole up and rest, or camp should you need to. It would appear that once this was a storage room, though what was stored here has long since gone.

"I will await your return after you have explored further." says Kalerecant, "I am weak from battle and would only hinder your progress. Good luck, my Lothian guide you."

[/ooc erm from room 8 we go south through the door into the corridor the other side ?]

If we've not been through the door, I'll listen first for a minute, then pick the lock/whatever and then after failing try the handle.

[/ooc before we left did we remember the Quaan saying any special words to open that door? Were there any Quaan robe fragments we chopped off before they got away? Did they leave anything behind ? if so we're grabbin it if it seems usefull or if it seems relevant to our quest]

As no one is responding I'll take it upon myself to boss everyone around for not responding and we'll head off south west corridor with me leading a few meters in front scouting. [/ooc I presume we're going south of room 6]
