I think the longevity of it will depend on how good the online is, I like the sound of the zombie players team playing completely differently from the the survivors.

I did try ZP, thought it was a good concept very badly implemented (was a while ago I'll give you that), I also played "The Ship" and had an amazing time there even though the number of players always seemed lacking.

The main thing is that the demo is out this week, we'll all get first hand experience then we can come back and start this afresh, but with some actual first hand experience, at the moment it's akin to people debatig the pro's and con's of a patch before it goes live

Yeah, but I've played it, as I don't have one of those fisher-price PCs you kids call consoles. :p

:troll:

Admitedly only the demo for about 20 minutes, so not really the whole experience. It's fun, but as I said, didn't have the atmosphere I was hoping.

Anyway, enough flogging the dead horse. :p

Gears of Wars 2 is the dogs knackers. The graphics are probably the best I've ever seen - the tracer detail on the weapons fire is amazing and some of the scope of the areas is just jaw dropping. The set pieces are stunning as well.

More cohesive than the first one, they've tightened the controls up a little bit, made the supporting player AI MUCH better in single player and added better multiplayer support.

If you like shooters, buy it. Its a no brainer.

I was abit letdown with the final chapter of Gears2. The flying levels and the final level where you control the Brumak are pretty rubbish and the ending (final boss if you like) is a huge anticlimax.
Aside from that I enjoyed it alot, the horde game is brilliant fun and the online is still great.

Killing Raam in the 1st one wasn't exactly great either tho (way too easy); seems to be quite vogue atm, proving average endings to games.

I think GOW2 on Hardcore is quite a lot easier that GOW1? Or am I just more leet than I was? Or a bit of both :D
