Scott Hamshere, from Bromley, should have been the first person in the UK with a copy of the game. He had started queuing at 6am and was the first in line. However, as the barriers were lifted, it was all too much, and he collapsed from exhaustion.

His mate was on the BBC this morning with some American dressed as a Nightelf and a PC Gamer bod who seemed so nervous he could barely string a sentence together.

Typically the two BBC presenters didn't have a clue and seemed to want to go down the addiction/raving phsyco route but had no one to back them up.

Nearly all of the emails they had were positive about the game apparently.

The clincher was interviewing some woman who said they all play it and its good for family bonding and she knows what her kids are doing etc.

That blonde kid reminded me of my lad although he would have thought it a bit uncool to talk on TV I think.

Blizzard must be pleased they've seen off Conan and War this year (two supposed Wow killers) without ever seeing a dent in there player base, infact it seems more popular than ever right now!

and how does that change the fact the above was a WoW player? it doesn't so erm yes stfu.. as for WoW please realise that AoC killed itself because of bad design no pvp and awful lag due to the over usage of high end gfx, not killed WAR of yet either, again the problem with WAR is implementation of ORVR, which you won't know fuck all about as apart from WoW your a clueless n00b, p.s you didn't hit a nerve but I just had to reply to your completely irrelevant unbiased bollocks post, as you believe playing the worst MMG to date gives you an opinion.

Or maybe the majority just don't give a shit about PvP and RvR mate?

Although I know you are a stanuch PvPer I think most MMO players couldn't care less about it tbh and I can't see an MMO championing it becoming anything more than a niche game.

Better to have all of a small pie though, than be fighting for a crumb from a massive pie (to use the DDO words)

As for the numbers of players an MMO getting an expansion always spikes the numbers, the telling point will be in 2 or 3 months, when we'll have to see if Blizzard are still talking trash (which TBH the way they do puts me off WoW if the developers are that big headed they really can't be thinking of the customers)

Have the WoW subs even remotely looked like coming down since release though? Haven't taken much notice tbh.

which is correct mate, thus why I have never said any game will be a WoW killer as the majority of players are carebears and pve people, won't change my opinion though of WoW and how much damage it has done to MMG's, which has nothing to do with PvP more to do with how the genre has been dumbed down.

ps wtf has this to do with PvP and RvR mate? i am talking about the WoW killer and arguing with Janie don't be offended if i slag of your game, more than welcome to slag of WAR which is my current home, I won't take offence :p
