My God that was possibly the worst game of football I have ever watched.

The next time someone slates cricket for being boring I will refer them to the 2007 FA Cup Final.

What a waste of 2 hours of my life, I feel sorry for the fookers that went and had to pay for food there.

I suspect that the FA had a word with the 2 teams after they heard of the food boycott and encouraged them to take it to penalties so that fans would have to stock up on food and drink for the extra 30 minutes.

It would have all been perfect had Drogba not been bursting for a piss and thought

"Bollox to this I have to score or I'll piss myself live on BBC"

I agree - it was terrible. 5 seconds of good football for 2 hours of my life wasn't a good deal.

I don't know if you actually live there, but I'd have thought that
Peterborough 3-3 Rochdale was an entertaining game.

I used to have the full SKY Sports pack and the Premier Pass as well a few seasons ago, and then realised that it just wasn't hitting the spot.

(I'm now freesat.)

I can't really put my finger on it - maybe it's the 'fear of failure' that makes the premiership seem turgid (to me). Footy in the lower divisions is played with a lot more more hwyl (if considerably less technical skill - I'll concede that right now).

Catch some of the remaining play-off games. I reckon you'll be pleasantly surprised.

It was a shocker. I fell asleep on teh sofa during the 1st half (seriously). I wish I hadn't woken up to watch the 2nd half tbh.

It was the great trade off in all its glory. Sacrificing a decent game of football to win.

Sadly thats how it is now. Don't hold out much hope for CL final either.

Yeah Pennant should have gone at half time yeah he was using his speed and gettin past their defenders but it doesnt make much difference if he can't cross the ball too save his life. Should have replaced him with Bellamy and left the ex west hamer on. AC Milan were easily beatable today but Liverpool lacked the balls to do it with a few bad choices made imo the other being to play Harry Kewell im surprised he even remembers what a football is let alone what to do with it. Argh well always next year...

Milan were there for the taking. Seedorf and all were very average and Liverpool will probably never have a better chance of winning another CL. Any team playing Milan with a bit of pace last night would have ripped them apart.

Rafa's tactics were spot on initially but he left it far too long in the second half to bring on the cavalry.

Thought it was a better game than the FA Cup (It couldn't be any worse to be fair) but not a great final.

Kuyt is shit, he really is. He has no pace to get past defenders, doesn't hold the ball up very well, etc, etc. His goal was offside and it was too late then anyway. I would have started with Crouch or Bellamy - why Bellamy didn't come on is a mystery.

Zenden and Pennant - learn2crossplzthx.

To say Kuyt is shit is a bit unfair I think, he is certainly not world class but to his credit he is a very hard worker.

I don't fault the guys commitment but he often resembles a headless chicken. Equally, last night, he was chasing a ball that had come off another player and was going out for a corner - he wasn't going to get to it so why chase it and give the ref and linesman time to think why he was chasing it, e.g., he touched it last. Tactically inept play.

Its not just me - everyone I know that follows football reckons he's pretty poor - running around like a loon does not make you a quality centre forward.

The thing is, Liverpool should have won the game but they just couldn't get the quality in the box - Pennant needs to spend 8 hours a day for the entire summer learning how to deliver a quality ball. Zenden should never have started anyway - I would have preferred Kewell. He's mercurial but when he plays well, he's miles better on the left.

They were poor because we made them poor; Rafa's tactics as usual were spot on. Milan won't play many games where Gattuso, Kaka and Seedorf will all be countered so effectively.

I'm disappointed rather than gutted. Their goals came from our mistakes and if we can't score enough goals then we don't deserve to win. Soon as I saw Zenden and Riise on the left I didn't expect us to win - thank fekk at least Zenden has played his last game for us.

I think Kuyt on occasion has shown that he has something going on but not often enough and not in the Liverpool team as it is structured at the moment.

Zenden on the other hand is absolutely useless. He wouldn't get on the subs bench for any other top team.

I wonder if Rafa has gone as far as he can go. I don't think the Liverpool team can win the Prem as it is currently structured. Too many squad players and not enough match winners like Gerrard. They'll always do well in the CL though as Rafa's way is suited to it.
