ending spoilers ahead!
its really NOT because of the internet complaints.... fairly obvious imo that its not, uh, real.
plenty of stuff on the nets about the indoctrination theory, but i really dont see how it could be anything else. too much stuff pointing to it - even having deliberately not read anything about it in advance, i was watching it from when the beam hit me thinking 'this isnt right.' - and its not, the whole thing from that point onward is just a bit wrong.
so i went for the 'kill everything' option... which is presented as being the worst option... then, think of the alternatives - control, which is what the illusive man (who if he's really on the citadel, is definitely indoctrinated) has wanted all along, and synthesis - which basically is exactly what reapers already are. dont think i want either of those 2
and then at the end of seeing lots of things die... what do we get... ah. we see shepard regaining consciousness on the blackened street in london - presumably having fought off the indoctrination.
the only real question, in my mind, is how long have you been being influenced for.
arguably, you've been affected since the start of this game. have a read of the Codex entry on indoctrination, and see how it matches up to the dreams and such. my main concern is that any ending they put on as dlc wont actually be awesome enough to suit the setup theyve given it.
course, i could be wrong, but meh. if i am then they've just done the entire ending *really* badly, as theres a lot of inconsistancy in it, that would be neatly explained by indoctrination
