Shock result at Anfield.

The mentality of some supporters and even players is really shocking sometimes. Everybody no matter what club you support should be hoping Eduardo will recover from this.

Looking back not so long ago there are always some thugs who wish ill will on those injured.

It was great to see the Birmingham fans all clapping Eduardo off the field.

What an amazing night for the Gooners. Completely outplayed Milan over the two legs.

I really thought that the inexperience of the squad would see Milan through in the typical Italian way but they couldn't get anywhere near the pace and fitness of Arsenal.

Lost for words really.

Don't know whether you watch any of the Italian football on Channel 5. Arsenal beating Milan isn't that much of a shock, they've been pretty awful all season and the Itailian league isn't anywhere near as strong as it used to be. Inter are running away with the title and Liverpool have a good chance to knock them out tonight. Hope so BF's placed a bet on an all English final!

With the son supporting the Nerazzurri and the wifes Italian connections it will be a blue and black atmosphere in here tonight. ( Secretly hoping that Liverpool win though )

Well they are 5th in Serie A. Not amazing but their standards but the season is not over yet. Their CL form has been better and whatever way you look at it, going to the San Siro and winning as we did is a fantastic achievement.

Only a year ago the same team battered ManU.

4-0 against the Hammers and Torres gets his sixth goal in two games and his third hat trick of the season. Only 23 and his first season in the Prem; Gerrard, Babel and Torres really starting to click.

Shame theres are no West Ham fans on the forum to take the piss out of.....

Samething happens every season. After Christmas sometime (normally when 15+ points away from the top of the league) Rafa starts playing a settled team and Liverpool go on a run.
I heard Liverpool were 2-0 up last night and thought it was the Inter they were playing (why weren't they?), when I heard it was only the Chav Ham it wasn't so much of a surprise :)

Liverpool v Inter was delayed for a week because AC played the night before against the Arse and having Inter play at home the following night is bad form or some such, so it's next week.

This time its more because we don't have to play Finnan, Riise, Carragher and Hyppia at the back due to the injuries we've had for the last few months. We have to play 15 yards deeper with that back four and not one of them can play it out of defense, they just hoof it.

First couple of months this term our form was excellent, then we got a series of injuries which meant we had to play that back line and Xabi was injured too.

Nice to see us playing so well, but it pales into insignificance compared to our potential future. If Hicks gets full control we will be the next Leeds.

Rafa's had them 4 players for nearly 4 years. Learn to Train :p

With everyone fit I wouldn't pick any of those 4 mate, though some would pick Carra. They were all here when Rafa arrived.

Arbeloa Skrtel Agger Aurelio is as strong defensively and hugely more skilled. All been injured. The difference when we don't have to play Hyypia and Carra together is huge. Carra will prolly be first choice for a while, but only for continuity and while we build.

Carragher is a donkey always has been, however now he has to share the carrots with deadly Dirk.

Arsenal vs Liverpool in the Champions league quarter final, interesting matchup.

Man Utd vs Roma is a horrible tie, I doubt many Utd fans would want to travel there again!

Couple of weeks ago John Terry named Carra as the best defender in Europe; this week Javier Zanetti said the same. Still, what do them pair know about football or defending :)

Brilliant defender but needs a player who is good on the ground with the ball and can create from the back or the whole team suffer from constant hoofing.

As an aside, sad to see LFC and the Mancs drawn so they would meet in the final. I'd sooner see us go out than that happen.

As a football match, it would be terific; but there would be so much violence English clubs would be kicked out of Europe for a decade (and Platini would love an excuse to do so).

John Terry hardly comes across as a deeply intelligent person now does he? And Zanetti is Argentinian where Carraghers brand of wrestling defending (Dave Kitson the latest victim of a Carraslam) would go down well :p
