Sorry folks, but I have decided to stop playing DDO.

I know this will throw a spanner in the works with the Tuesday night session, but I am simply not enjoying DDO, and if your not enjoying playing a game, there really is no point in continuing to play.

I hope you are able to continue and find a replacment.

If you're not enjoying something don't do it, plain and simple.

I hope it wasn't something that the existing players forced on you that reduced the enjoyment as I know that rushing has been an issue recently. As a new player that could take away a hell of a lot of the experience from a new player.

Was it the character you were playing or just in general a fault with DDO?

Anyway for standing there, calling the mobs girly names and taking a massive beating from them, I thank you You did it well.

I'm guessing there will be no play this week with both the rogue and pally being away.

I was talking to J and he suggested either respeccing his Pally as a Sword and Board or quickly levelling an alternative.

I have a 3rd Level tactical fighter that is of that type and J has a rogue so we could even do a role switch.

Of course there may well be other CUK players who want to jump in that are re-trying DDO (Flight and Sheleph IIRC).

Thoughts? New recruits?

What lvl are you guys now? Started splitting my time between EQ2 (raids) and DDO again. Started a Pally to see the new area though no idea if I have built him right though he is still lvl 1

Do you have any openings and if so what class do you need?

Well in terms of what were lacking : an intimitank of some kind. (Pally or Fighter)

Were all level 6 and have been very strict in how we play - only buying from the AH from monies gained in the Tuesday night sessions or using loot gained during our adventures. No twinkage of any kind

Well the Pally should work then ad he is a 32 point char if thats ok. I havent twinked him at all (dont even know where the mailbox is in starter area now anyway since its all changed) and ill try catch up.

Not sure what type to make him as I see there seem to be new skills, though currently have him wielding a fiery 2handed axe they gave me on the 1st quest (nice improvement over the rubbish you used to start with). Are they basically Prestige classes or something? I am a bit out of touch Any suggestions welcome.

For an intimi there is a Prestige Class and one of the starter builds may point you in that direction. Lemme check the PrC and build options and I'll get back to you on it.

Wow that looks good as a tank. Guess I should of got the sword not the Great Axe At least I havent taken any feats for 2 handed yet so no loss.

For a tank I looked at the fighter build and PrC they plan Stalwart Defender I think. It's basically a dwarven defender from the PnP but without the race restriction.

I believe with the Ftr's Intimidate being a class skill it may well work out superior as an intimitank.

It's been a while since I checked the DDO boards though.

Ill stick with the pally as I like utility classes and tanks are usually limited to hit things or get hit. Pallys have some spells too

Thats why I usually end up multiclassing though I might try a pure pally build this time.

Hwo is drakensang?

The reviews i've read made it seem a bit overcomplicated for the rewards, but satisfying in a old-skool RPG kinda way. can you review / summarise it?

So far lvl 3 and I am just buying from AH for upgrades unless I get lucky on drops (like I did with muckbane already on 2nd visit hehe).

Trying to get as close to lvl 6 as poss before I stop playing him apart from group nights.

there is a probability (high one right now) i wont make it tonight. currently in Mansfield and unlikely to be leaving much before 5 - 5:30 so thats a 3.5hr drive home.

I might try to get on at 9pm for an hour or so though.
