World of Tanks thread :D

The trick as with all this stuff is to play because you enjoy the game, not to get to the next level. Especially in WoT as next level doesn't really help you, sure you get a bigger better tank but the match maker just puts you in battle where so does everyone else...

I've "accidentally" ended up with an IS4, Hummel, Ferdinand and a couple of lights. The game works nicely for me because I can log in for half an hour, play two or three matches, have a bit of fun then do something else without any commitment or having to faff around forming up groups, making sure the right people are online etc.

It's not a deep game but for an occasional blast a few times a week I find it fun.

Your right that it dont always help to get to the next tank up, The Panzer IV is awful compared to the Panzer III. I will probably drift back when I get fed up with Oblivion on the XBox.

I play a level 1 arty and a level 2 light lots and am slowly getting xp for my level 4 medium.

Learn your tank and just have fun

I have my first medium researched already (tier 5 Nazi), but not got the cash together yet to buy it. Having a blast with the game though.

Forget tigerII's VK2801 are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.

Ok so im working towards a TigerII atm, and my E50 and JagerPanther but seriously look at a VK2801

Got my US T-25 TD lastnight, going to miss the Slugger has been alot of fun with the 90mm. Thankfuly the 90mm carries over so the fun continues onwards to the T-28 TD.

Cull, did you ever try the PZ4 with the L70 sniper gun? it makes the tank into a completely different animal.

Not played this much recently, but added a camoflage net & level 2 vent to my M4 Sherman....and starting at last to kick ass.

Im still playing and having a good time. For me its casual gaming at its best. PZ4 isnt great until you get the L70 then as already mentioned its a beast.

My biggest concern and what could finally be a killer for me is the companies current direction. The Type59 should never have seen the light of day. I appreciate that they never SAID it would be a WW2 tank game but just a tank game but throwing in a tank that existed from 1959 onwards is hugely unbalancing. If they needed to add more then they could still have added French and British tanks trees before adding different eras, i rue the day if i ever see a ChallengerII tank in the same battle as say a TigerII.

Play most nights still, but got to tier 6 and hated the E8, so restarted really with a nazi luch for scouting fun.

Ok how do i get the UI cos i cant seem to match that look, or that ammount of information....or are you running a mod?

That's the normal UI, just while zoomed isn't it?

Mine looks like that too Cad, not sure what u mean? Pegasus is running at a higher resolution I think than I do, but I can't see anything odd about the pic?
The targeting may have been changed, but you can do that from the standard options.

Both teams to either side, your tank info bottom left and the minimap on the bottom right? Have you somehow switched those off Cad?
