I'm trying out a summons necro to see if they are as easymode as normal DII. Cant see why necros now have hydra tho, and starting with a scythe is a bit annoying. Wont have MSN on the comp, so wont be able to keep in touch that way. If anyone is hosting a game,put the details up and I'll try and join.

Same; having trouble getting MSN installed, more proxy trouble.
Scythe is kind of a mega Necro weapon it seems, in ES.
Lots of the skills have been juggled about between classes. I want to try this Nova / TS Barb !! Nova was my favourite Sorc pre synergies - will be nice to have it again as a valid build for end game.

Just so many wonderful little touches; I like this one :
the Anya quest in act 5 gives a stone which, with a white item can be converted into a unique item. Each stone is only good in the difficulty you are in.( normal for normal, exceptional for exceptional, etc.)
Anyone found Khalims Brain ? No idea where it is; found the heart and the eye.

Only played solo so far and not playing tonight.
Found what I needed. Spoiler :
The Flayer Dungeon, where the brain drops, is accessed in Upper Kurast.
This is a good link, but lots of spoilers there, if you don't want to explore for yourself which areas have changed.
Eastern Sun map layouts
Note there is a branch of brand new areas from the Ancient Tunnels, which are for high level, tough characters. Niiiiiice.
There are 16 added areas, where the best drop rates and xp are, plus the Cow Level. You are advised to go to these after completing the difficulty setting. You'll know when you enter one as mobs are bloody tough; they are spread out through the 5 acts, so you might wander into one or two. They are listed at the top of the map layouts, linked above.

Got TCP/IP working with Corwin and Pit so far, both times needing Hamachi installed. Hamachi also shows who's online, so would solve the problem of people not using MSN.
1) Install Hamachi
2) Run Hamachi
3) Click on 2nd to right button on the bottom and select Join Network
4) Enter details of network. I'll put the login details in the private section
5) See who's online (their name changes colour)
6) Right-click on their name to message them for a game, or choose "Copy Address" and their Hamachi IP address will be stored in your clipboard. Use it in TCP/IP game option in D2.

I can't believe this game is still going. 800x600 on a 24" screen looks very odd but it still has some hold on me
And where has the jail waypoint gone?
There is no jail waypoint. Its been replaced by a waypoint for the Secret Cow Level (once you can get in there).
LOTS of changes in layout and added zones; seen the map page linked earlier in this thread.
