I still think one of the big problems was having Clanuk in two guilds on the same server on both horde and alliance. Different servers is good but same, that was a disaster in the making.
Alots changed since the days of Diablo and UO you cant run a guild with the ethos we did then "anti-cheat, and a friendly bunch of people to help others out" You can use those things but you need more than just that to keep things running smoothly. I think one of the problems is the way the games are designed everything level based and item oriantated. We had such a varied guild, powergames, casual gamers etc. The casual gamers got left behind and felt they werent contributing to the guild but when they finally got to same place as the others they felt left out of things as the others had been doing things togeather for along time and know how to do stuff. Even i felt this way sometimes, everyone know what they were doing on raids but no one really explained it to the new people, lack of comunication.
Peoples views on the running of the guild conflicted and the the bickering went on too long. The officers tried to make everyone happy but that just splinter us even more. You needed someone to put there foot down and lay down some guidelines. Someone to orginize stuff, and generally give everyone a kick up the back side if they werent behaving proper.
Fuw people would want that role, as its a game and your ment to have fun not have to worried about all this crap.
