Monday is Guild Night

Well here we are - Monday once again.

As usual, what happens depends on who shows up at 7PM in the Guild Hall.

Took me a few goes with both Monkey Dust and Dark Swan.

One thing I noticed with DS was, if you skip the vid part, you almost seem to be worse off than if you had viewed it. The DG seems to be attacking straight away. I'm sure that's an illusion though. You just need to be hitting skills (apply poison) the absolute moment the screen appears.

Odd he is losing health slower. I would have thought if you hit first you would almost certainly win. You could always remove armour as well, so make sure virtually all shots hit.

Shorter bows have marginally faster re-fire rates. The longer range bows are slow in the air, so just get up close. I'm pretty sure with MD though that whoever hit first with the poisoned arrow won, because the DG is losing life while he fires off useless skills.

This is getting rediculous for a Monday gone 9-30pm before I got home tonight then had to wait over an hour to get PC of the youngest (says he was in a clan match in CS-Source & couldn't quit) Will try harder tomorrow night if anyone about :-(

No one is on either, I was watching Blade Trinity with the gf so was late.

I was on from 7PM until about 7:50PM. Just me. Did a couple of quests in the desert.

I was going to finish at 9PM anyway as I had a few things to do prior to an interview today. I took the opportunity to finish even earlier as no-one else was about.

Maybe we should move the GN to another night as Monday does not seem to be particularly popular/convenient. I can always set up a poll for that.

A PvP night where people can use PvP only (immediately max lvl) characters might be more immediate fun for people, and might motivate some to play through the PvE areas to capture specific skills which would be useful in PvP.

I'll have to check up in WHICH arenas we can use PvP only characters as a team. (Random teams would be a bit pointless.)

Many of the better PvP guilds in fact normally have no more than about 15-20 members, so having a huge guild is not that important. In fact some players find it frustrating getting into large guilds and almost never being involved in GvG battles.

There seems to be the beginnings of a movement in the online GW 'community' to discuss PvP team builds more openly. See here for an example.

Yeh I noticed on XFire that 'Coalman' was playing CS. I was pretty sure it wasn't you though. (And even if it was I wasn't going to hassle you!)

I think Monday nights aren't really working. Monday was chosen when we had a different group of people playing. We should chose another night, or weekend period.

I may well be on tonight. Lets see if we can get you through the two last ascension missions. Taz is almost at Droknar's Forge now, and I have two characters parked thereabouts too.

I usually take my ex-girlfriend shopping on a Monday & used to get back around 7-7.30pm but work commitments have changed with the long London area now being done on Mondays which usually pushes everything back

I share a PC with the youngest & the oldest the youngest usually logs X-fire out but the oldest doesn't so if you see I am playing CS or Football Manager it probably isn't me (just checked & apparently I am playing CS at mo even though I am work)

Gonna try & get on 2nite if I can find somewhere to get petrol, it's gone mad round Norwich with queues everywhere & garages running out

We're looking for a better night for next week and beyond though.

Well I've been playing my second account a fair bit, stick me on friends if you like (Althorn Darkbow)

As the weekend I've just gotten to the crystal desert, and had some fun in Elona's Reach.

Tried it first with a pickup group, and "they" fluffed it big time.

Then I tried it with henchies, and did it with 10 min to spare and only the kamakazi monk dieing once

Staying calm when you have a time limit is key *grins*

Last thing, I trecked to Thirsty and thats my next objective. However, mate is coming round tonight so may not get onto GW tonight, or if I do, may be playing one of the other chars in Sorrows.

But if I do, and anybody else is in the desert, perhaps we could team up?

my problem at the moment is, that wow just keeps sucking me back in
much as i'd like to do GW tonight, if i dont go play WoW, they might kill the 5th ZG boss without me, and that just wouldnt do
its a shame, because GW is a good game, i just prefer wow at the moment. i guess the good thing with GW is, that since it doesnt have fees, i can come back to it when i'm done with wow

I just got hacked off in wow with all the legwork to finish even the simple quests.
And the non existant incentive to group.
And the bugs.

(fees) Indeed, which is why I cancelled wow, why pay if I'm not playing.
Do miss the UI editing though, that was almost as much fun as playing the game

Nearly 9pm & have finally wrestled the PC from the grasp of my youngest, he's now into Battlefield 2 & was in a clan match or so he says. I didn't have the energy to argue so will try for 2morro night instead couldn't give game my full attention tonight now. Hope you guys had fun tonight

He is in the desert now and may well be ascended by next Monday.
A visit to the 4v4 arena anyone ?

If we do any PvP tonight we should maybe just have a short 4v4 session in the Deldrimor Arena (Droknar's Forge) to get the feel of it. From my previous experience it can be quite intense!

Otherwise we could do a common mission like Ice Caves of Sorrow.
