Also, only fools rush in.
Don't try and be the first to the frontline; you'll die horribly and quickly. The only exception is if you're a capable scout tank.
SEE (points out the text above to Gottaa)
Id add the caveat "and the skills and experience to drive it"
There is no point being the first anywhere if you have no idea where you are going, what's round the other corner and where your opponents camp, or where the fields of fire are. You are making all the classic mistakes, you get focused on the kill so stop soon as you see someone, regardless of where you are or how safe you are.
TBH i think i probably hindering your learning of the game Gottaa rather than helping. The only way to learn is to get frustrated enough to start thinking why am i constantly dying.
Fast, agile tanks should IMHO be played with caution, its speed is no defence, any half decent tanker can lead the shot to kill them. The speed and agility allows you to take advantage of situations and relocate as the battle unfolds.
My favourite tank at the moment is the Black Prince, its lack of speed (20kph) makes you think about what you want to achieve and how to do it with a lovely sniper gun. Matilda Black Prince, even more so, nice fast all round gun for the tier, in a tank that moves like a slug.
Luck can play a huge part in this game, especially at low tiers as people don't react as you would expect them to react.
